For courses in Critical Thinking

Teach students how to think critically about the things that matter in their lives
Revel(TM)
Becoming a Critical Thinker: A User-Friendly Manual trains students to become critical thinkers, thoughtful decision makers, and confident advocates for their beliefs. To this end, author Sherry Diestler guides readers to develop the skills they'll need to successfully evaluate the many claims facing them as citizens, learners, consumers, and human beings -- and to become effective advocates for their beliefs. In addition to updated examples, the 7th Edition offers coverage of engaging contemporary topics -- such as how social media affects decision making and how marketers influence consumers -- that will resonate with today's students.

Revel is Pearson's newest way of delivering our respected content. Fully digital and highly engaging, Revel replaces the textbook and gives students everything they need for the course. Informed by extensive research on how people read, think, and learn, Revel is an interactive learning environment that enables students to read, practice, and study in one continuous experience -- for less than the cost of a traditional textbook.
NOTE: This Revel Combo Access pack includes a Revel access code plus a loose-leaf print reference (delivered by mail) to complement your Revel experience. In addition to this access code, you will need a course invite link, provided by your instructor, to register for and use Revel.
